  1. Dribbling Drills: Dribbling skills objective is to improve your ball control and agility. Dribbling through cones teaches you how to control the ball in tight spaces and enhances their ability to change direction quickly. This drill is great for improving close ball control, which is crucial in real game situations.

How to do it: 

  • You can setup a line of cone upto 1-2 meter apart 

  • Dribble the ball through the cones using the inside, outside, and soles of both feet.

  • Focus on keeping the ball close while navigating through the cones at a controlled speed

  1. Passing & Receiving Drills: It improves your passing accuracy and first touch and also This drill helps build precision and comfort with the ball under pressure.

How to do it: 

  • Set up a target area or use a partner. Pass the ball to the target using both feet alternately.

  • When practicing with a partner, make quick, firm passes, and work on trapping the ball smoothly with your first touch.

  • Increase the distance as you improve.

  1. Shooting Practice: It is the most critical drill in football but regular shooting practice improves your ability to convert chances into goals during matches. This drill enhances your  finishing skills, accuracy, and the ability to strike from different areas.

 How to di it: 

  • Set up a row of cones just outside the penalty box.

  • Stand at a central position and pass the ball to a partner or a rebounder.

  • The partner plays the ball back to you, and you take a shot on goal without controlling the ball (first-time shot).

  • Aim for different areas of the goal with each attempt.

  1. Attacking & Defending:

Ladder Drills: Ladder drill is an important part in football training as it improves the player’s agility, speed, coordination and footwork. Navigating through the agility ladder requires precise coordination. As players focus on controlled movements, they also improve their balance, which helps in preventing injuries during sudden turns or while dribbling.

How to do it:

  • Set up cones or small goals in various parts of the penalty box.

  • Practice shooting from different angles, distances, and positions using both feet.

  • Focus on placement and power, aiming for corners of the goal to avoid the goalkeeper's reach

  1. Speed and Agility Ladder:  This drill you can use to improve your speed, agility, quickness, coordination and footwork. 

How to do it:

  • Lay out an agility ladder on the ground.

  • Perform various footwork patterns (e.g. in-and-out, side steps, high knees) as quickly as possible while maintaining control.

  • Repeat for multiple sets with short rest periods in between.
